U8 Jamborees

U8 Jamborees take place indoors at Fore Kicks Marlboro and Taunton with teams playing two games in one day. 

​​Rules
  • 5v5 with GK's (4 field players and a goalkeeper)
  • No Punting | Can only throw the ball from hands as a GK
  • Goal kicks and corners as normal standards of play; see below for player options when ball crosses sideline. 
  • 2x20 minute halves 
  • 2 games
  • No Referees - Managed by both coaches
  • Indoors at ForeKicks with dedicated 5v5 goals 

Pilot Program (Fall 2024 & Spring 2025)
Instead of Throw-Ins; players will have the following options:
1. Pass INS:
  • When the ball goes out of play, the team taking the restart must pass the ball back into play.
  • The pass must be made along the ground.
  • Opponents must be at least 4-5 yards away from the ball.
  • A goal cannot be scored directly from a Pass IN.

2. Dribble INS:
  • When the ball goes out of play, the team taking the restart can dribble the ball back into play.
  • The player must start with the ball stationary on the touchline.
  • Opponents must be at least 4-5 yards away from the ball
  • The player dribbling in cannot score directly; they must pass to a teammate or touch the ball again before scoring.
