The New England Club Soccer League, in partnership with For Kids' Sake Foundation, is proud to announce the Malia's Legacy Loves On Scholarship, which will be awarded to a Graduating Senior each year. The For Kids' Sake Foundation, founded in 2011, when Malia Jusczyk was first diagnosed with Neuroblastoma Cancer as a three-year-old, continues to be a leader in raising awareness and improving the lives of children with pediatric cancer.
As a teenager, Malia once again faced cancer head-on. Every day, she wanted to be on the soccer field (or competing in numerous other activities), and it's that perseverance and resiliency that made Malia's life so special for those who were lucky enough to be around her. Malia's attitude was always to achieve through adversity, and in Malia's Legacy Loves On Scholarship, the NECSL and For Kids' Sake Foundation are looking for a graduating senior with similar attributes.
Criteria for Consideration

Criteria for Consideration
- Must be a dedicated soccer player and competed in the NECSL for the Spring 2025 season.
- Must have a C+ average or better and graduate high school in 2025
- Must plan on attending a school of higher education starting in Fall 2025.
- Must register and complete the 2nd Annual Celebration of Life COLOR FUN RUN
- Can complete virtually or in-person
- Saturday, June 21, 2025
- Must complete online application by Friday, June 27, 2025
